3. Repair Methodologies

The SIMM and SSA process prepares the project for this next step

To restore the highlighted items to their original design condition, remedial requirements and Structural Engineering design input are combined to comply with all necessary design requirements. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) load implementation and distribution are utilized to optimize remedial application and minimize application cost. Depending on the requirements of the remedial implication, localized and global analysis can be conducted to ensure correct reinstatement of the deteriorated item(s) while considering the impact of the remedial application on the surrounding structural configuration.
The methodology strategies employed include General Arrangement (GA) drawings with specific details necessary to successfully execute the remedial requirements. Material take-off (MTO) quantities and specification information assist in the tendering process and ensure the quality of work and execution accuracy.
